The Speech Therapists and Audiologists Association of Ghana
Speech Therapists and Audiologists Association of Ghana (STAAG) is a legally registered professional association comprised of Speech and Language Therapists, and Audiologists plying their profession mainly in Ghana. This association is duly registered with the Registrar Generals Department and the only registered association for Speech and Language Therapists, and Audiologists with the Allied Health Professions Council of the Republic of Ghana.
Founded in 2015, the STAAG has served as a resource for professionals and consumers in Ghana. As Audiologists, we are professionals who use all of the tools at our disposal to identify, diagnose and rehabilitate hearing, balance, tinnitus and other auditory disorders in individuals across the lifespan. As Speech and Language Therapists, we are professionals who equally use all of the tools at our disposal to identify and carry out therapies on individuals with voice disorders, language delay/disorders, speech sound delay/disorders, communication delay/disorders, stammering and communication rehabilitation.

Representing the interests of speech- language therapists and audiologists to maximize the potential of people with communication, hearing, vestibular and/or swallowing needs in Ghana.The association will promote the training and education of speech and Language Therapists and Audiologists to enhance their competences and ensure high ethical practice.
Mission Statement
To engage members of the Association to have CPD training through seminars/webinars workshops on state-of-the-art clinical practices, conduct research and to stimulate healthy discussions on habilitation and rehabilitations processes among professionals which can promote policy formulation for educational development.
Vision Statement
To maximize the functioning levels of clients with hearing and communication disorders, swallowing difficulties, and all associated behaviours, vestibular and associated balance among clients.
