Dear Colleagues,
It is an honour to become the President of this great Association. The tenure of my Presidency is to continue with the good work and the foundations laid by my predecessor. I pledge to continue to advance the profession of Speech and Language Therapy and Audiology in Ghana and beyond.
MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission is to engage members of the Association to have CPD training through seminars/webinars workshops on state-of-the-art clinical practices, conduct research and to stimulate healthy discussions on habilitation and rehabilitation processes among professionals which can promote policy formulation for educational development….
I would like to welcome you all to the official website of the Speech Therapy and Audiology Association of Ghana (STAAG), a forum where as professionals we can keep in touch with each other and share ideas and information. It will also be a great opportunity to tell the world outside about us, who we are, what we do and equally important, get feedback from them about how we are doing.
We have come this far on the journey to our own “Canaan” and definitely have our own stories of the harsh wilderness experiences to share. I use this opportunity to encourage the weary pilgrims to tug along slowly but surely. “Canaan” is not a mirage. We are not there yet but with commitment, dedication and sacrifice I know we will get there…
Congratulations to the newly sworn-in executive for the good work.
Dr. Neal Boafo(Immediate Past President, STAAG)
